Amanda and her Clydesdale cross Thoroughbred gelding, Eddy d’Hustler, featuring her Australian Shepherd Bette Davis, photographed at Glenorie, New South Wales.
I arrived to Eddy’s Glenorie home in the afternoon to find Amanda in full swing of the best idea ever – she’d invited a group of friends to help and enjoy bubbles and a cheese platter pre-session! There can be huge nerves leading up to an equine photo session, but she kept them at bay in style!
We started the session in Eddy’s paddock as we knew this is where he would be most relaxed – first in his halter, and then in the ‘naked halter’, where a horse can go from tacked to at liberty with a bit of love in Photoshop.
After a costume change, we moved to the property’s front paddock in front of some gorgeous gum trees, and the most dreamy lighting, followed by some images in the front garden.
Into the final costume, and Bette Davis had a minute in the spotlight on her own, before Amanda strutted her stuff in a phenomenal black dress as we caught the last of the light.
